Dan retired in 2016 after a 30-year career as a newspaper reporter and editor, including 16 years as an editor for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He and his wife Shelley have been the owners and managers of Camp Layman Resort near Cromberg since 2010. Dan also worked as managing editor for the Feather Publishing newspaper chain from 2011 until 2016. Dan and Shelley have two grown children and their first grandchild on the way. They enjoy traveling to warm-weather destinations during the winter. When he isn't tending to the camp, Dan is most likely fishing, hiking, golfing or honing his pickleball skills.
"Shelley and I love living and working at Camp Layman. We can't imagine a more beautiful place to call home. And we are proud to be a part of this unique community."
