Position: Firefighter
May contain: clothing, apparel, police, person, human, jacket, and coat

I was raised in the Bay Area and after High School I started a 40 year career with Chevron Products Company, at the Richmond, California refinery.  A significant amount of that time as a Firefighter/ EMT/ Engineer and Fire Marshal. I’ve attended two fire academies, one volunteer and one professional. I’ve also trained for eight weeks of live fire fighting at Texas A&M University's Brayton fire school, both as a student and as an instructor. My Haz Mat certification runs from industry technician to incident commander. I attended rescue systems training at the Menlo Park Urban Search and Rescue facility. Over my career I’ve been involved in training and incidents with several local agencies that include wild land, EMS, structure and Haz Mat.
In 2018 my wife and I purchased an off-grid home in Cromberg on 40 acres. We used it as a weekend getaway until the Covid 19 pandemic hit, at that point my wife left her job in Napa and we moved here full time.
We are the proud parents of seven grown children and grandparents of three. I’ve been coming to the Lost Sierra for many years and knew this was where we would settle down.
Recently, I was promoted to Assistant Chief and look forward to delivering the best fire and EMS services to our community. This is a great department with dedicated volunteers, please consider joining our team.
